The
principals of The Montreal Family Centre, Vikki Stark, M.S.W. and
Marla Yanofsky, Psychologist, have many years of experience working
as therapists.
Vikki Stark has been a psychotherapist, marriage counsellor
and family therapist for over twenty-five years and is an expert
in issues related to parenting, divorce and blended families. She
teaches and supervises therapists-in-training and was the resident
family therapist on CTV's This Morning Live for eight years. Vikki
is the author of two books, My
Sister, My Self about the effect of having a sister on a woman's
identity, and Runaway
Husbands about Wife Abandonment Syndrome.
Marla Yanofsky is a psychologist and member of the Order
of Psychologists of Quebec. She has a Master's degree in Counselling
Psychology from McGill University. Her professional career began
in schools as a guidance counsellor, working with children, teens
and their parents. As a therapist in private practice, Marla works
with individuals, couples and families and has developed an expertise
in the area of divorce counselling/coaching, helping both parents
and their children make the often difficult transition. She has
conducted many workshops and has appeared as a guest professional
on radio and television.
