Raising children with a former spouse following divorce is a real challenge and requires special skills. The Tool-Box Workshop helps parents develop those special skills in a highly inter-active format, using a variety of audio-visual material, workbooks, discussion and even cartoons!

Separated or divorced parents will receive the basic tools necessary to:

Understand why conflict is so prevalent at the end of a marriage
Learn ways to cool down the emotions and move on
Understand children’s feelings following the divorce
of their parents
Learn techniques to free children from being caught in the
middle of their parents’ conflict
Develop a new perspective that will help parents work
co-operatively in raising children
Learn the strategies required to communicate effectively with a
former spouse for the sake of the children

This workshop is offered annually at the McGill Parenting Conference
